Sandra Scofield is the author of seven novels, a memoir (“Occasions of Sin”), a craft book (“The Scene Book”) and, recently, “Mysteries of Love and Grief: Reflections on a Plainswoman’s Life,” a book of essays about her grandmother’s life. She has been a finalist for the National Book Award, a winner of a Texas Institute of Letters Fiction Award, a NEA Fellow. She is on the faculty of the Pine Manor low-residency Solstice MFA Program, and divides her time between Missoula, MT and Portland OR. She is also an avid landscape painter and a besotted grandmother.
