The Saint Ann's Review depends on the generous support of our donors and subscribers to keep publishing. Subscriptions are $16.00 for 1 year (2 issues) or $30 for two years (four issues). Friends are encouraged to donate at any level.

Submissions:

Material offered for first publication only is considered. Simultaneous submissions are accepted with notification upon publication elsewhere. We consider short fiction and essays (up to 6000 words), poetry (up to 10 pages), plays (up to 25 pages) and excerpts (up to 25 pages) from larger works; also translations of poetry and short prose. The original-language work must accompany the translation and the translator is responsible for author's permission.

Send electronic submissions (Word or RTF files) as pertinent to: poetry@saintannsny.org, fiction@saintannsny.org, or nonfiction@saintannsny.org. Include all poems in one attachment, thanks.   Send translations to: sareview@saintannsny.org with "translation" in message subject. Please allow up to six months for responses. All rights revert to the author upon publication.  TO WITHDRAW A POEM or POEMS from a submission:  please email sareview@saintannsny.org with notification, and include with that email a new attachment of those poems you still wish for us to consider.  TSAR will soon be using a new submissions program so do check back.

All paper submissions should be typed and accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope

Art Submissions:
Send up to 10 black-and-white photographs or slides for inside art, and black-and-white or color for cover art. We will reproduce a wide range of artwork, including paintings, photography, woodcuts, ink drawings, sculpture and more.

Payment to Contributors:
PLEASE NOTE!  TSAR's former practice of paying writers and artists for their contributions has been significantly altered for 2009-2010.  In general, we will now provide two copies of the current issue per contributor.  Cover art and reviews will still be considered separately. 

Deadlines:
We read submissions September-July.

Submissions to tsarina:

All submissions will be considered for TSAR and for tsarina, an online journal.   tsarina will privilege shorter fictions, poetry, reviews preferably of small-press publications (reviews should be approx. 500 words), and translations of shorter works.  Please include in your email's title your name, your piece's title/titles, and for prose, a word count.
